On September 5, 2014, Detective Corporal William Raddatz of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Offive Criminal Investigations Division, Sex Offender Compliance Unit, located and arrested Jeremy J. Uber, age 29, of Hughesville.

Uber was charged with knowingly fail to register as a sex offender as required and knowingly providing false information of a material fact (False Address) to the registry.

Uber was released from the Calvert County Detention Center in June 2014. Upon his release, Uber failed to register as required and had provided an address on Scott Circle in Mechanicsville to authorities in Calvert County. A check of that location revealed the address was non-existent.

Uber remains incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, on a no bail status after appearing before District Court Commissioner James Karaczynski.
