Amber Alert Update: Child Found Safe, Mother Arrested

Wilbert Garcia, the 9-year-old boy who was the subject of a statewide Maryland Amber Alert on Thursday night, was found safe in Reno, Nev. early Friday morning.

Wilbert Garcia and his mother were both found in Reno after the Amber Alert was issue.

Wilbert, disappeared on Thursday after his mother, Silvia Garcia, allegedly took him from Dodge Park Elementary School in Landover.   Prince George’s County Police say that Wilbert was unharmed when he was found. Silvia is now in custody in Nevada. Silvia did not have custodial rights to Wilbert.

Maryland AMBER Alert: The alert is for Wuilbert Garcia a 9 year old Hispanic male allegedly abducted by a Hispanic female named Silvia Garcia operating a 93 Black Mercedes, MD: 8AG0407 last seen near Landover, MD on 03-15-2012 at 7:50 AM.

The Maryland State Police have issued a Maryland AMBER Alert on behalf of the Prince George’s County Police.

Further information is as follows:

Child: Wuilbert Caceres Garcia is described as 4 ft tall and 80 lbs with Black hair and Brown eyes. The child was last seen wearing White polo shirt/Blue pants (school uniform). Other description: None.

Suspect: Silvia Guadalupe Garcia is described as 36 years old and being 5-02 and 130 lbs with Black hair and Brown eyes. The suspect was seen wearing Unknown. Other description: None.

Vehicle: 1993 Black Mercedes 190 class with MD tag: 8AG0407. Other descriptors: Dent on right rear door.

Anyone with information on the child’s whereabouts is asked to immediately call 911 or the Prince George’s County Police at (301) 352-1200.

    there is a reason why she did it dont judge her because you are just juding her over some news that brifely say something if you knew her you would understand why she did what she did
