Two Men Arrested on Distribution Charges in St. Leonard

James Richard Nelson, Jr., 33, of Upper Marlboro and Sheldon Lyvonne Curtis, 33, of Lexington Park

On December 30 at 9:35 p.m. Cpl. A. Moschetto of the Calvert county Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Md. Route. 4 northbound at Parran Road in St. Leonard.

He immediately detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the passenger area of the vehicle.

A search revealed zip lock bags containing a substantial amount of suspected marijuana.

The driver and passenger were both arrested.

James Richard Nelson, Jr., 33, of Upper Marlboro and Sheldon Lyvonne Curtis, 33, of Lexington Park, were each charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana in an amount sufficient to indicate an intent to distribute.

    These arrests are a joke as you see the same people on here over and over again for the same reasons. What is the point of Officers risking their lives and tax payers paying taxes if we just end up with the same old over and over again?
