UPDATE: Sarah P. Schrock, 56, of Mechanicsville appeared in court on Thursday, July 2 and plead guilty to two counts of second degree assault.
The peace order violation was dismissed and the food contamination charge was dropped.
Schrock was arrested on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 by Deputy First Class Jaime Davis of the St. Mary’s sheriff’s Office.
Charging documents allege that Schrock contaminated milk served to family members at her home, with shavings of dead skin from her feet.
Schrock appeared before visiting District Judge Richard A. Cooper who ordered she receive a psychological evaluation before her sentencing hearing in September.

5/12/15: On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, a victim, who resides at a residence on Finch Court, in Mechanicsville, came into the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office headquarters to report a peace order violation.
The victim indicated on 5/4/15, she and two additional victims returned home after being gone for most of the day. The victims poured milk, which had been stored in the home’s refrigerator, into glasses to drink during dinner. After one of the victim’s swallowed some of the milk, she began to choke on a substance in the milk. She then coughed up the substance and discovered what appeared to be human skin. The second victim swallowed some of the milk and also felt something in the liquid. She immediately began to gag and cough up the milk along with the substance. The third victim poured the milk but never drank it. They subsequently poured the remainder of the milk into a strainer and found what appeared to be human skin shavings in the milk container.
The victim’s alleged another roommate in the home, identified as Sarah Preston Schrock, age 56, of Mechanicsville, shaves the bottoms of her feet and keeps the skin in trays in her bedroom.
Schrock was issued a peace order on 5/1/15 with the protected parties being one of the victims.
On 5/3/15, Schrock was arrested for violating the order, however she returned to the residence that same evening upon her release. She was home alone in the residence for most of the day on 5/4/15.
Schrock was located and placed under arrest, and was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Felony Contaminating/Poisoning Food/Drink, 3 counts of 2nd Degree Assault, and Violation of Peace Order by Corporal Jaime Davis.
According to court records, Schrock appeared before District Court Commissioner Christopher Leseman and her bail was set at $10,000.00.
Schrock later went before a Karen Christy Holt Chesser, Associate Judge, District Court of Maryland and had her bail reduced to $2,500.00, she was then released after posting the established bond pending further action by judicial authorities.

OK I concede to the dry skin part. My previous comments were wrong. In my defense though I was only going by what I read. Larger shavings from a dry callused foot could certainly choke a child and is beyond disgusting. It read ‘dry skin flakes’ which are fine and would all but disappear in the milk making it hard to prove.
Sorry goes out to victim but I do find myself jaded at times because of the bs that does run through here. I just wish you could have avoided all this by just getting her removed from the home long ago, legally…waiting proved costly.

Those charges are ridiculous! The woman is obviously mentally unstable. She just got confused…..skim milk or skin milk, it could easily happen. Food labeling has become too complicated, not to mention all the different types of milk products. How many times have you picked up ice milk, instead of ice cream? Not very tasty, was it? Do you really think putting this woman in jail will solve her foot problems? They don’t hand out foot lotion at the Detention Center for free, you must pay for it from commissary.
