prostitution arrest calvert+

On Thursday June 25, 2015 the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) with assistance from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Maryland Information Center (SMIC) conducted an operation targeting Prostitution and Human Trafficking.

During the course of the operation police made contact with six adult males who were soliciting sex in exchange for money.

The following men were arrested and charged with Solicitation of Prostitution

  • Danvontraz Jershaey Ball, 20 of California
  • Christopher Reboja Eusantos, 49 of Hughesville
  • Joseph Jerome Kotvis, 33 of Waldorf
  • Robert Dale Quam, 40 of Lusby
  • Nicholas Allen Stallsmith, 25 of Park Hall
  • Khyri Hassan Wells, 20 of Ridge

Typically, the encounters between individuals engaged in prostitution are facilitated through the use of cellular phones, web-based classified ads and/or social media sites.   The ads are posted by both those who seek prostitutes and those who are seeking clients.  Meeting locations vary from parking lots to rooms in local hotels.

An operation of similar type was conducted by CIB in April of 2015 resulting in two arrests of adult males who were charged with Solicitation of Prostitution.  CIB continues to monitor the prostitution culture through various investigative methods and assistance from the community.  Prostitution offenses often go hand in hand with drug and alcohol abuse, as well as robberies of prostitutes and/or clients soliciting sexual encounters.  The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office continues to work diligently to eliminate these quality of life crimes, while aggressively combating a Human Trafficking aspect associated with prostitution.

To ensure the success of this operation, approximately 20 law enforcement officers and a multiagency coordinated effort was put together by CIB detectives.

Exactly what I was about to say. Any so-called parent who curses their child with such an excuse for a name doesn’t deserve to breed. How does one with such a stupid name ever find employment??? Basically, doomed for life.

Crime is crime. You don’t get to cherry pick which one upsets you the most and decide that’s what police should enforce the most.

    • Christina on July 1, 2015 at 8:54 am

There are a lot of drugs also involved in prostitution…especially from the side of the prostitutes. They should try to nab not just the Johns, but focus on the prostitutes. Most are not having sex for money to pay their way through college…a lot of the time it’s to support a drug habit.

      • Anonymous on July 1, 2015 at 11:18 am

The article clearly states that drugs and alcohol abuse go hand in hand with prostitution, but thank you for the mind blowing info.

        • Dan on July 2, 2015 at 1:56 am

How many would that be??? After counting a total of 17 grammatical errors within your meager attempt to criticize the Calvert County Sheriff’s Dept., it’s time for you to finish high school. Feel free to return once you know a little bit about what you are talking about.

BTW — If you knew anything about prostitution, you’d know it is used in the trafficking of children. Kids as young as 10 or 12 are forcibly being used as sex slaves to satisfy these abnormal perversions. It’s no longer a victimless crime, so don’t try to blow smoke up any of my proverbial orifices as you attempt to justify putting a smile on someones face. I’m quite sure if you had a 12 year old daughter or a 10 year old son, you’d feel differently about whether or not the crime of prostitution should be actively pursued.

Kudo’s to the members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Dept. for teaming up with other Southern Maryland agencies as they attempt to tackle what is quickly becoming not only a local problem, but a national epidemic as well.

          • Anonymous#13 on July 2, 2015 at 1:12 pm

Well said. The grammatical and spelling errors in these posts makes me think our schools are not doing their job. And yes, there is a drug problem, and yes, drugs cause people to do desperate things to get a fix. These guys are thugs and needed to be stopped. Glad to see a Ravens fan in the bunch.

          • Anonymous on July 2, 2015 at 4:21 pm

It is not a victimless crime because it is kept in the underground and in the same circles as drug rings and human trafficking. If it was legal and there were licensed and regulated brothels it would cut down on the forced prostitution. If the prostitutes had to register, get drug tested, tested for STD’s and get a license there would be very few cases where the women were working against their will. Or, we can keep things the way they are and keep having women victimized instead of empowered in a legal profession.

    • Jennifer on July 7, 2015 at 11:43 am

You do know that human trafficking is directly linked to the drug epidemic. Do you think these woman like to do what they are doing? No, they do it so they can get drugs. Most of these girls have pimps, many of which are the drug dealers. It’s a vicious circle, and it all of it needs to be cleaned up.

  7. Anonymous on July 2, 2015 at 12:17 pm

Wow, I wasn’t aware that being bald was a prerequisite for getting a prostitute. I guess the one guy with hair didn’t get the memo.

  8. Oscar Meyer on July 2, 2015 at 12:51 pm

Hookers are earning every penny if this is a sample of their clients… Maybe a pay raise is in order.

    • Christina on July 2, 2015 at 3:10 pm

Yea, poor poor hookers Lol…what do you think some of them look like around town? I’m sure the female version of those guys. Haha

      • Mike Honcho on July 3, 2015 at 8:23 am

They can’t all be 10’s like you Christina. Oh wait a second…..

  9. Anonymous on July 2, 2015 at 3:04 pm

After seeing those photos I understand why they had to pay for sex. Probably double the normal rate.

  10. Anonymous 2 on July 2, 2015 at 8:55 pm

Ohhh why oh why couldn’t the Southern Maryland Information Center (SMIC) have been named the Southern Maryland Information Bureau?? Please, let’s start a petition to get the named changed. Who’s with me?

  11. Anonymous on July 2, 2015 at 9:37 pm

The one guy is the manager at kfc/ taco bell in Solomons. I see him there everytime I go in to eat.

  12. Anonymous on July 3, 2015 at 7:48 am

Calvert County does not have a prostitute issue. You can produce stings for men to fall into any where and capture a few but Calvert has a real drug problem and it needs to be stopped. You can talk of human trafficking and it has a place in the U.S. but the numbers in this county are small compared to D.C., Baltimore, Miami and other major cities. Drugs are the issue. Children do drugs, they get hooked on drugs and guess what they commit crimes for them like prostitution as well as a hand full of others. You can put a band aid on it and say that our law enforcement is doing well at plugging the hole or go at the source, much like our government will not do.
People do not applaud this, demand more. Our kids hang in the balance and the “Law” does nothing but arrest few guys. A multi department task force for 4 months that arrests 6 men is a gross waist of our tax payers money. Wake up America.
