    WTF happened to k-9 dogs????????????????????

    • Anonymous on July 24, 2016 at 9:20 pm

They are probably worried about getting sued. Another giant waste of taxpayer money. Why have them if you don’t use them?

      • Rob Stark on July 25, 2016 at 8:18 am

What an idiotic anti-cop statement. My first question is why does anyone think a k-9 was needed. Cops responded to an alarm, caught the thief without much effort. Second, there are only so many k-9s available. Perhaps the K-9 officer was on the other end of the county, perhaps he was tied up on another call. Your comment about a waste of taxpayers money is, well, just plain ignorant.

        • Julie on July 27, 2016 at 6:39 pm

And yours make up the majority of said ignorant posts. You must be a real negative person in the real world.

        • Anonymous on July 29, 2016 at 7:19 am

Why, because the police have their hands tied and the K-9 unit can only be used for very limited situations? Look at the cost compared to the use. I am not a cop hater, just the opposite. But I am a realist. Why don’t you try it sometime?

          • Rob Stark on July 29, 2016 at 12:39 pm

Please explain (in as much detail as you can make up) the costs of a K-9 Unit.

I understand that they are cross trained. Almost all K-9s are trained to track criminals or missing persons and then can be cross trained as a drug detecting dog or an explosives detecting dog, but not both.

If someone plants a bomb in a school, who do you think searches the building? How do you think the police search the forest for a missing child?

Obviously, you’re a cop hater and you thought this was a good platform for your verbal diarrhea. Don’t go away mad, just go away!
