STITCH (SMAWL)Wednesday’s Pet for 8/31/16 Stitch

Featured Pet: Stitch
Rescue Group: St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League (SMAWL)
Breed: Spitz
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Vetted: Neutered and Up-to-date with routine shots
Adoption Fee: $250.00

Stitch’s first owners purchased him from a pet store without researching the breed. When he was turned over to rescue he was submissive and scared, rescue feels he would do best with older children if there were children in the home. Stitch is 10 years old and shows a little sign of arthritis from being so active. With his age, he has a few minor health issues, but he is very happy and active. Stitch is leash and house trained and knows basic commands. The rescue did find out he is great with rabbits, he was with a rescue rabbit for about 8 months and they became best buddies. Stitch will make a great companion; a person with previous dog knowledge will be a best fit for him.

A little bit of breed information: The Spitz is an intelligent and playful dog. They are alert and obedient. Spitz are tough little dogs that act as a house protector. The breed usually does well with other pets in the home.

“He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.”

A 10 year old dog for $250? Are you nuts? that’s a poor investment in a pet. Maybe $25 bucks, he might not live through the new home transition stress. SMAWL needs to get real!

Spoken like a true moron. Choke yourself, idiot. Obviously the cost of own and caring for a pet. You are a useless tool

Wow! Choke yourself??You are obviously too emotionally unstable, with violence issues to own a pet, especially chickens, as you would most likely choke them. Now, step away from the keyboard and STFU !

Looks like he wants to bite a brother. I wouldn’t trust him. Go ahead and put him down before he hurts a child.
