Charles County Crime Solvers Offering Cash Reward for Suspect’s Identity and Arrest

sketch-of-stabbing-suspectsk1609343Detectives with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division are seeking to identify a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that occurred last month.

Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On October 8, 2016, at about 4:22 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of St. Charles Town Center for the report of an altercation in which someone was stabbed.

The initial investigation revealed the victim and a friend were walking through the mall when they made eye contact with two females. The suspect (shown in the sketch) was with the females at the time. The suspect approached the victim and confronted him about looking at the females. The victim and the suspect subsequently became involved in a fight during which the victim was stabbed. The suspect fled and the victim was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The suspect is described as being in his late teens to early twenties, about 5’8”, with a medium build. Anyone with information should contact Detective J. Riffle at 301-609-6501 or

      You would think they would do that but they both probably said “We don’t know him, he just walked up to us and started talking to us”
