One Transported from Accident Route 4 & Plum Point Road

043-LOn Tuesday, January 15, at approximately 5:00 pm, the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department responded to the report of an accident at Route 4 north and Plum Point Road in front of the Huntingtown Bowling Alley.

Crews arrived on the scene to discover a GMC Yukon SUV overturned in a ditch, with the single occupant trapped inside. Crews worked quickly to secure the vehicle and cut the door to remove the driver.

The driver was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Crews were on the scene for about 30 minutes.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

    Cause of the accident….well let’s see. Slick roads, probably speeding (because EVERYONE does through there) and a top heavy vehicle prone to rollovers. Sounds pretty simple to me. I hope the driver is okay.
