ppl need to speak up and give up information in cases as such. Every bit of data can be found useful to the authorities to get these hoods off the street…vigilance and intolerance…

    • mc clark on February 8, 2013 at 11:49 am

ppl should speak up but his murder ios no more special; than my son, who was killed aug 24, 2011….Deondre Hawkins…an uncolved mur4der in st marys county…along with a possibility of a murderer on the run from a murder he supposedly commited in annapolis….st marys seems to be the place for murderers to hide!!!!!!!

      • lynn on February 9, 2013 at 12:07 am

People should speak up but his murder is no more special than my son (per mc clark) the same pain you are going though is the same pain every murder victim goes though, so your son is no more special then the last 1500 drug deal murders. Correct me if I am wrong your son also was a DRUG DEALER how does that make him any different?

What do you mean, You people?

  2. Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 2:31 am

I wonder if this was one of the STOLEN TACKLE BOX GUNS!! Oh wait, the sheriff’s department won’t tell the public that, around 40 guns were stolen, but I guess it never happened… And still no charges in the killing of a man on Veterans Day last year, and he turned himself in.

    • tips on February 8, 2013 at 3:05 am

what are you talking about what murder last year on Veterans day??

      • Jimmy's Friend on February 8, 2013 at 9:29 am

I think he or she may be talking about the Mr. Hawkins case. Or perhaps the wild week in November 2011. Around veterans day, Nov. 2011, there was a whole week or Lexington park drama. Crazy B’s hitting people with crowbar and shooting wildly in Shangri-la ( which is perhaps the worst neighborhood in Lexington park aside from good old river bay), To gang fights in.st Mary’s square, to some poor young man who was shot to death in his car in st Clements crossing. What a dirty place to live.

    • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 6:20 am

The tackle box theft was already in the news. Get off your cop-hate soapbox and stop being a d***head about it. Every time a gun is involved you make another post. Find another agenda.

      • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 11:11 am

AMEN and THANK YOU, I am sorry tired of him mentioning the tackle box theft

He was a blood member who cares

      • Shay on February 8, 2013 at 2:17 pm

It doesnt matter what he was. He is Human. If his stero type was Drug Dealer, or Gangbanger he didnt deserve to be Gunned down! He’s not a F#####g Rapest or Killer. He did what he had to do to take care of his family as Any Real Man Would! Put your self in his shoes for a min! If u had No way to pay your bills & take care of yourself what length would you go to, to make sure everything u work for dont go down the drain!!

        • anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 2:53 pm

Had no way to pay his bills? MAYBE he should have gotten a job, or is that too much like WORKING? Sad to see another life lost, but don’t even try to bait people into believing that society, as a whole, held him back. If you lie down with the dogs, you’re gonna’ get bit!

          • Gill on February 8, 2013 at 4:07 pm

Exactly ! Get a job or two or three ! Some folks on here act like “it’s normal” to be a drug dealer as a profession. ?????

        • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 5:11 pm

Actually, drug dealers DO deserve to be gunned down.

          End of story.

          • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 7:29 pm

Wow I am lost for words at the level of ignorance; but I guess when you have nothing better to do but speculate and assume this is what you get. No one deserves to have their lives ended prematurely! Who are we to judge? He could have been someones father, brother, or son. What if this was your brother would you feel the same? I don’t think you would. Knowledge is powerful go read a book or take a class. The comments from some of you are completely asinine! No sin is grater than another; I just hope that when your judgement day comes you have things in order.

          • r on February 8, 2013 at 9:51 pm

And so do you sweetheart ;) lol

          • Anonymous on February 9, 2013 at 5:44 am

So should doctors be gunned down. They are drug dealers that get people hooked on prescription drugs. Why because they keep handing prescriptions out like they are candy.

            It’s the same concept.

  4. Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 6:28 am

    look up his past.
sounds like more to the story.
    trouble always finds trouble

    • Bonnie B on February 8, 2013 at 10:57 am

It doesn’t matter what his past was. No one deserves to die in cold blood….especially in their own home. I’m sure you have people in your family or maybe yourself whose past isn’t perfect. Would you have the nerves to say that then?

      • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 5:06 pm

Maybe some of his customers got po’ed with quality of his cocaine.

ALL drugs dealers need to die a slow painful death … spreading that poison around is reason enough.

And I could care less about his bills or his family. He brought this on himself and got what he deserved.

      • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 5:13 pm

Drug dealers all should die that way.

        • r on February 8, 2013 at 9:56 pm

Hope the same for you…with that attitude and hatred you all ultimately provide no benefit to the world. And you probably consider yourself a good Christian too, that’s the self-righteousness and ignorance that really gets me

          • Anonymous on February 9, 2013 at 4:13 am

Hahaha. I bet we provide more benefits to this world than a POS druggie does.

  5. Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 7:21 am

Mmhhmmm. Tougher gun laws for private citizens … Yeah how’s that working for you? Lets outlaw drugs while we are at it.. Oh wait…

  6. Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 7:46 am

Not that I think anyone deserves to die, but this young man lived a life of drug dealing and that always leads to bad things. My thoughts and prayers are with all who have been affected by this young mans death.

  7. Francis on February 8, 2013 at 8:42 am

And now leaders want to disarm law abiding citizens.

The criminals will still be criminals – disobeying the law – while those that would rather defend their family than become victims will find it extremely hard to purchase a firearm.

Oh, what;s that? Call the police? Their duty isn’t to protect us! The police sure helped this fellow now, didn’t they?

Open your eyes America. As times get harder – these incidents will become more and more commonplace. I was once told by a wise Gunny – you never want to bring a knife to a gun fight.

    • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 12:16 pm

Christopher Dorner is why we have and need to protect the 2nd amendment, so that when authority is so corrupt and tyrannical you have means to fight for yourself and your freedom, just as we did against the British in the Revolution.

  9. Gill on February 8, 2013 at 9:38 am

Murder is usually never justified in probable drug cases, but if you live by the sword, chances are you’re going to die by it.

  10. Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 10:10 am

Lets start with a person just lost his life, His past offenses have nothing to do with him losing his life.(We all have a past and some are not as clean as you protray) I did not know him so please do not bash me and say I am taking up for the victim. The victim had people that loved and cared about him so they are feeling the loss as well. Have some type of dignity and keep your negativity to your self.

Read the story the girlfriend gave a very vivid description of the men,gun and car.(What about the license plate number) Do you think she was involved? RIP

    • anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 11:19 am

Yeah, let’s start with a person just lost his life. Now lets back up. He has a record going back to 1993 when he was 18 years old. He probably has a juvenile record as well. He’ a life long criminal with multiple assualt charges, assult with intent to murder charges. He is pending a trail for manufacture of CDS. He was arrested less than a week ago for DUI/DWI. He owed over $50,000 in child support back in 2011.

If this “victim” had “people that loved and cared about him” then they know the type of person he was, and the type of life he lead. Did you expect any other outcome? Hell, he just saved the tax payers lots of money for all the trials he has coming up in April (on his birthday I might add).

Maybe someone got tired of him assulting them, and gave it back to him.

    • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 12:09 pm

Wow you’re worried about other peoples negativity, but you Just insinuated something pretty negative about the girl friend.

      • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 5:02 pm

Regardless of what he charges were pending against the young man, he did not deserve to be shot down in his home and left to die like a helpless animal. You said “he just saved the tax payers lots of money” So your basically saying that people that live off the system, drug dealers and the ones that just do not have a job should be murdered. WOW if thats what you think something is wrong with you. And before you try to turn this back on me I have a very good job so yes I am a taxpayer.

You must of been really pressed to look up the victims whole history and post everything he has done. So I assume everyone in your family perfect. Get a life and stop looking up peoples history.

        • Stunner on February 8, 2013 at 6:36 pm

The reason why he was killed was because each and everyone one of you who are defending him on this post FAILED to protect him. You knew he had issues growing up around him and none you did nothing about it. You should all be ashamed of yourselves to allow this to happen. As far as I’m concerned, YOU PEOPLE are the ones who got him murdered. R.I.P. Mr. McDowney, and Thank GOD, you will never have to be around such a group of pathetic excuses for human beings ever again.

      • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 5:06 pm

Did you read the story? Hey and I am not being negative I posed a question their is a difference.

    • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 5:10 pm

If he had people who really loved him they would have stopped his drug dealing. Oh wait. They needed the money from his drug dealing do to hell with everybody else.

If anything these people you say loved him might as well have pulled the trigger themselves.

A murder on Beachville Road? Only the most finest citizens live on Beachville Rd. I have to agree with most posters on this story. That picture of the victim isn’t an Alan Mills photo, it’s a mugshot.

    REST IN PEACE, ROBERT LEE!

Some people can be SO insensitive to what you put on the web. Regardless of this man’s prior history, he DID NOT deserve to be gunned down, in HIS home, like a dog! I knew him, and I know his family, and they are DEVASTATED! So before you go off on your soap-box about his life’s previous transgressions, please be aware that his family and friends may be reading the venom that you post, further adding to their grieving.

You were a cool dude, Robert Lee. We will miss you.

Just remember every saint has a past!! STOP JUDGING!!! ASSumptions (translation: usually when you ASSume, you’re making an AS* of yourself). & please take not to the case searchers there’s just as many non-Afro Americans who have longer wrap sheets doing the exact same acts. 21. TellIT!!! on February 8, 2013 at 2:30 pm

For the case searchers, there’s just as many (if not more) Non-Afro Americans who have rap sheets just as long as the deceased. So, stop playing the race card thinking just another one off the streets because that’s someone’s son, brother, father, cousin, friend, etc who has been taken from this world regardless of his past decisions. If the tables were turned, how would you be responding??? Think about it before you post such ignorant comments.

    • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 5:17 pm

Nobody mentioned race till you did. Wanna see a racist? Look in a mirror.

Sorry about the loss of your drug dealer. Don’t get so attached to the next one.

    • Ryan on February 8, 2013 at 5:18 pm

Can you post one more similar post? I didn’t get your message the other 5 hundred times that you posted. I don’t see where anyone pointed out the fact that another black man had a RAP sheet aside from you. You’re only an African-American if you came from Africa or if you hold dual citizenship. People please have some respect for the dead find it in your Heart. Everyone has Family members no way you would want someone to talk about your love one like dirt. By bashing the dead it’s not going to bring you any good deeds. Mr. Robert Lee Mother have to see this. I see no bashing of the Killers who commit this notorious crime. Regardless of this Man past there is still loss of life and Family members are torn. I just want you to know Dee Dee and Family members I am very sorrow by your love one lost of life. I hope God can get you to this difficult time Dee Dee. I so very sadden for you losing your Fiance last year now your Son. I hope God will lift you and know He have Robert Lee now. Every thing going to be all right now. Please know God will bring you some justice by finding and charging these HEARTLESS COLD BLOODED KILLERS TO JUSTICE TO GIVE YOU SOME CLOSURE. Take Care Theresa

    • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 3:08 pm

Lets blame the killers first. I get it, they killed him. Now let’s share the blame where it belongs, I blame EVERY family member who knew he was a career criminal & drug dealer. You knew where his money came from, you knew he had guns, dealt drugs and hung out with dirt, but YOU chose to let it happen. YOU the family were happy to take the money he gave you knowing it was BLOOD MONEY. But YOU never cared because it was not you loved ones blood, well it came back and bit you in the azz. Now you think WE as a society should look up to him like he is some hero doin what he had to for his kids. BS. He chose the life, and the family let him do it. If you wanted to save his life you would have called to police and locked him up. But no “snitches get stitches” so you let him put himself in a position that killed him. Oh and NOW the family wants snitches to turn in who killed him. EVERYONE who knew him needs to take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself, How much of this is YOUR FAULT?

      • Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 3:20 pm

U dont know what the family did bc I know for a fact some ppl did try . But you can’t control someone’s life he was a grown man.

He was a person who deserved to be locked up for a very long time. But, since he was allowed to continue with his enterprising ways, it caught up to him. It isn’t us who are judging him; it was the people who killed him who passed judgment.

The picture of the deceased alone is a mug shot from a previous arrest, that leads ppl to look him up and see the life he chose to live. It’s not any of his families fault for the life HE chose to live. You live by the streets, you die by the streets….PERIOD!

  28. Anonymous on February 8, 2013 at 4:10 pm

You people with all the negative comments are very ignorant, get a life. If it was your family how would you feel? Who cares about what he did its about what happened to him. I dont even know him but wish i could get ahold of u ignorant a## people writing all thatcrazy ####!

    • Anonymous on February 9, 2013 at 4:31 am

No, we are just speaking the truth. You want to get “ahold” of someone that is posting their opinion on the matter? That’s real lovely… Sounds like you’re the ignorant one.

If it was family that was doing drugs / dealing drugs and having a criminal record like him then I would feel the same way. They would be disowned.

    • anonymous on February 9, 2013 at 9:29 am

Obviously you and the other drug dealer lovers don’t care what he did! And that is why he is dead. Everyone that knew what he was involved in try to justify his life style as being what everyday oridnary people do to make a living. He was living a life of crime and it caught up with him.

    • Jimmy's Friend on February 9, 2013 at 11:32 am

And what would you do?? Cone to my house…you will end up like the victim…but there would be one between your eyes…

  29. Sorry, on February 8, 2013 at 5:20 pm

It’s a matter of public record. I have the right to know that a documented career criminal lives a few miles from my family.

  30. Brian Shaw on February 8, 2013 at 6:48 pm

I think she knows more than she’s telling..If you broke in someones house you didnt know or knew, to rob them and was ready to use deadly force if they wanted to fight you. Instead of giving up the money and dope. And you killed one person in the house why would you let the other person live to be the states witness aginst you ? What im saying is you’ve already killed one person another one is’nt going to matter.. If you get caught your still going to jail for the rest of your life.

    • SMH on February 9, 2013 at 10:09 am

You said it SHAW the whole matter is quite bizarre. To rob someone that early in the evening while traffic is at steady pace allowing people to witness a quick get away seems sort a fishy to me also. If them guys were real robbers they couldnt rob a 2 month old infant. They must been truly practicing for a big score…..whatever the case maybe I hope that they capture the maggots and let justice see their ending.

This is said that you’d down a guy when he’s dead and can’t defend himself. You a “B.A.M.F”. People like you deserve this

    • Ryan on February 9, 2013 at 9:24 am

It’s pretty sad that you think he’s worth defending………

First I would like to say my heart goes out to the family. God is good he sent his angle home, so he could have everlasting life. A better life with no worries and no pain, rest in peace baby we will always love you and you will be in our hearts forever. Now for all of you negative people. everyone have a pass, we all have did shit that we are not proud of. We have all did shit that people dont approve of .but who are you to judge him or anyone else. Our live are map out by god the man upstairs, he is the olny one that can put judgement on anyone. we all have a number, no one know when gods going to call them home, and no one knows how they will die its all in gods plan. Instead of posting negative comments about robert lee someone you dont know focus on your oen life because those people who have all bad things to say are not happy with there life. And they are trying to bring everbody down to there low level life

    • anonymous on February 9, 2013 at 9:47 am

People are judged by others every day of their life based on the actions of those people. That is how people who live a decent life know NOT to associate with those who choose not to be a productive, law-abiding member of society. And yes, most people probably have done things they are not proud of, but hopefully you learn from those mistakes and not continue doing the same sh*t over and over and over. From Dirty’s record, it doesn’t appear he learned anything!

I HATE DRUG DEALERS> THEY DESTROY LIVES> THEY DO THINGS TO GET PEOPLE HOOKED> They try to get customers to use as young as elementary school age. One less in the world. He died quick, his customers die slowly.

    • SMH on February 9, 2013 at 10:01 am

You talk all that crap and your husband or probable uncle is in the next room downloading kiddie porn.

  35. Sick of Dealers on February 8, 2013 at 11:22 pm

Cold-blooded killers, cold-blooded drug dealers. Meh. All the same. This chump has ruined the lives of MANY innocents. No doubt those that loved him are heart broken, but that doesn’t minimize the fact that what he did was disgusting. I’ll take the lives of the children who won’t ever get drugs from him over his ANY DAY. Enough with the excuses and defensive nonsense.

This is a prime example why conjugal visits in prison should be stoped..

  37. SMH on February 9, 2013 at 9:55 am

I can’t believe that this site allows anyone to blurt out names, that are probably irrelevant, and information that I am sure not accurate. I believe in FREE PRESS but where does it begin and where does it end. Sometimes people cross the bounds and say things that are inaccurate and in cases detrimental to ones being. In my eyes a person is tried, convicted, and persecuted right here on this site before a judge or juror has a chance to dissect the intel that is garnered by the proper officials.

slim was a good dude. he had some issues but everyone do. look at all the crime going on up Leonardtown with Richard fritz and his conrads. nobody saying nothing about all that corruption that they doing

  39. Anonymous on February 9, 2013 at 10:59 am

Everyone wants to say his past has nothing to do with his murder, but it does. When you mess with drugs, taking, selling, whatever it may be, you take the chance on stuff like this happening. He lived because of the drugs and died because of the drugs, sad but true. I believe, if he had a normal job, this wouldn’t have happened. While I believe this, I also believe that when its your time to go, you’re going to go. If he didn’t have the drug problems and didn’t die this way, then it probably would have been a car wreck or a freak thing, who knows. Either way, the man has passed and it is sad and I feel bad for his family and friends, but he also should have made better choices for his life. Don’t try and tell me I know nothing about that life either, because I know way more than you may think. I grew up with a family doing and selling drugs, they grew up and I was smart enough to steer clear of anything to do with drugs. YOU make YOUR own choices and those choices always have consequences.
