Skaters Robbed by Armed, Masked Suspects at Park
On Monday, Dec. 26 around noon, a 20-year-old male was skating at Nicolet Skate Park located in the 21700 block of Bunker Hill Road in Lexington Park when he and a group of about eight fellow skaters were robbed by three armed masked male subjects.
According to one of the victims Randy Beaulieu, he was skating at Nicolet Skate Park, when three black males walked out of the woods with bandanna masks covering their faces from their nose down. The masked subjects entered the park and ordered everyone to the ground stating they weren’t “fooling” around. Everyone was told to empty their pockets of everything. Randy stated that he did as he was told and so did the four or five other people hanging around. However, Beaulieu had locked all his possessions in his car and didn’t have anything in his pockets. One of the males approached him, displayed a black handgun and demanded he empty his pockets. Beaulieu told the masked suspect he didn’t have anything, that he never took valuables into the park knowing the area. The other two suspects approached, yelling at him to once again empty his pockets. One of the masked suspects grabbed Beaulieu by the throat and demanded all his valuables. Beaulieu reiterated that he didn’t have anything and pulled his pockets out for them to see they were empty. The masked males then turned to Beaulieu’s friends and proceeded to collect the valuables on the ground as they fled the scene. Witnesses state, a 1990s Ford Taurus drove up and all three suspects jumped in and the car drove off. Beaulieu ran to his car and unlocked it where a friend of his proceeded to call 911 on Beaulieu’s cell phone to report the incident.
Police arrived a moments later and took statements from everyone involved.
The suspects are described as black males about five feet ten inches tall, ranging in age from about 14 to 2o-years-old.
An iphone, cash and a wallet were among the stolen items.
Police continue to investigate.

Oh my , what has become of Lexington Park ?
Same Lexington Park as always!
This is not the first time this has happened. Sometimes it makes the news, sometimes it doesn’t. Last time the kid was beaten as well as robbed.
yeah that was me that got jumped last time..nothin has been done about it yet
This really doesn’t surprise me at all!
My cousin was one of the victims. Sweetest boy you will ever meet. Never in any trouble and always the first one to help someone out. It is a shame that this has happened to these boys.
It seems to me that the majority of time when I read one of these stories on Southern Maryland News Net, whatever crime it is, it takes place in Lexington Park.
Kind of messed up since another one of our freinds got severley beaten and robbed about 2 months earlier. Nobody has been picked up or caught in reference to the other crime commited. I wonder if the word around town is to hit the secluded park and jack kids for their belongings since they wont get caught anyway? Another sad thing is that with the first incident the attackers can even be identified and that the ring leader of that group is seen frequently walking around near the park and in Patuxent homes!
Verizon should be able to track these guys by the cell phones they stole, but they won’t I went through this myself.
No surprise as to where and why…sad, really. Lexington Park/Great Mills area, Waldorf area, Indian Head/Bryans Road area have stuff going on all the time. What do they have in common? Hmmm….
I hear ya!!!!…..you never used to hear about that kind of thing down here in Southern Md., they’re movin’ in!!!!!!!!!!
I suppose they have the same thing in common with the white guys who robbed a liquor store in charlotte hall – they are bad kids.
Its sad that situations get immediate and approprate attention when there are guns involved, yet when the suspects have no weapons and severely harm someone with their barehands its noted but not much is done. The situation a few months ago was similar to this in that the suspects worked in a group and fled right after. A few months ago the suspects were identified and later seen in the area but as far as I am concerned no action was taken against them. I dislike the fact that actual damage can be done and nothing is resolved, but when there is a strong threat for damage with guns more action is taken. Having no resulting punishment for the suspects of the previous incident most definitely led to this armed assault. Guns or no guns, violence is still violence.
I dislike the fact that when guns are involved immediate and appropriate action is taken, while when the suspects severely harm someone with their barehands little action is taken. The last incident and this are similar because the suspects attacked in a group and fled right after. yet the suspects of the last incident were identified and were seen hours later in the same area but no action was taken against them. at all. I fully believe that because there were no repercussions for the last crime committed this one was inspired. guns or no guns, violence is still violence.
Simple solution. Private, unofficial surveilance taskforce setup in woods, in camo, with highpowered rifles with scopes. Patience. Persistence. Diligence. Dont kill anyone. Wound, and send a message.
You ought to stop watching so much TV. HP rifles and scopes? And in a neighborhood too? Oh come off it, one wounded “suspect” can/will level a lawsuit that would empty anyone’s pockets dumb enough to try this.
i agree. dont wound. go for headshot. i dont wanna be paying for their prison food for the next 60 years….and their 13 kids. head shot, head shot head shot!!!! dead people CANT sue anybody!!
I guess I will have to give my kids a couple of handguns to take with them next time they want to feel safe skating at a skatepark, at least then one of the suspects will be identified, wounded or dead !
Tell them not to waste ammo shooting to wound . Shoot to kill these criminals and the only story that the police will get is your’s . Better still , just leave the criminals for the police to eventually find . I’m just sayin ‘ .
If they kill it’s in self defense! If someone broke into my house and I shot them it’s self defense because they invaded my personal space and tried to steal things from me. This would be a same situation just no within a home.
