Homeless Shelter has Disorderly Man Arrested for Trespassing

Steven Wayne Carter, 53 of no fixed address

On Friday, February 14, 2014, Deputy T. Teague of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Three Oaks Homeless Shelter in Lexington Park for a reported trespasser.

Contact was made with an employee  who advised Steven Wayne Carter, 53 of no fixed address was extremely intoxicated and refusing to leave the premises.

Carter was loud and aggressive and refused to leave after being ordered several times. Carter told police he was not leaving and that he would have to taken to jail.

Deputy Teague arrested Carter for trespassing and disorderly conduct.

After the arrest Carter attempted to kick the windows out of Deputy Teague’s Sheriff’s Office Vehicle.

Additional restraints were utilized and Carter was transported to St. Mary’s County Adult Detention Center where he was additionally charged with destruction of property.

According to court documents Carter went before a District Court Commissioner and his bail was set at $3,000.00.
