Agnes WoodlandAgnes Woodland, 88 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on May, 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Born June 28, 1925 in Mechanicsville, MD. She was the daughter of the late Mary L. Molden and Thomas R. Molden. Agnes was the loving wife of the late Joseph H. Woodland.

Agnes is survived by her children; Alice (Thomas) Young, Mary (Thomas) Mills, Annie (James) Holley, Brenda Daniels, Adrian (Thelma) Woodland, James Woodland, Jerome (Agnes) Woodland, John (Bonita) Woodland, Charles (Shirley) Woodland, daughter-in-law Mary A. Woodland, and son-in-law Arthur Graham, 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, a niece Mary Curtis whom she loved dearly like a daughter and a lifelong special friend, Betty Douglas. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her sons; Clayton E., Thomas M. and Francis X. Woodland, daughters; Thelma Graham and Mary Agnes Woodland, and grandchildren; Sonya and Garrett.

Agnes was a devoted Roman Catholic. She attended church regularly; she was a hard working wife and mother. Agnes worked for many years as a transport driver in the Amish community, house cleaning services for doctors and lawyers and babysitting for her grand kids. Her favorite things were going to Bingo, playing cards, the daily lottery numbers, and cooking. Family meant everything to her. She loved each and everyone of them unconditionally.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, MD, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with Father Michael Tietjen officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
