Two Accidents Leave Five Injured

Authorities in St. Mary’s County are investigating two separate accident that left a total of five patients injured.

On Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 9:43 p.m., rescue crews were dispatched to the 45400 block of Miramar Way and Route 235 in California, Md., for report of an accident with injuries. Crews arrived on scene to discover multiple vehicles involved and three patients needing medical attention. Three patients were transported from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital for injuries received.

Around 10:20 p.m., a second accident was reported and emergency crews were dispatched to the 22700 block of Three Notch Road in the area of Chancellors Run Road in California, Md. Crews arrived on scene to discover two vehicles involved to include a Nissan Altima which had rear ended a Dodge Avenger. Two patients were transported from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate both accidents.
