Audrey GovoruhkAudrey Virginia Govoruhk, 64 of Lexington Park, MD died October 24, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 12, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Washington Taylor, Jr. and Audrey Goldie Long.

On December 6, 1969, Audrey married her beloved husband, Nicholas Jack Govoruhk, Jr. in Baltimore, MD. They spent almost 45 wonderful years of marriage together. She was employed as an accountant by the Department of Defense at Moral, Welfare and Recreation at Patuxent River Naval Air Station until her retirement in July, 2008. She enjoyed camping along the east coast with friends. She enjoyed spending time at Myrtle Beach every year. In recent years she enjoyed several cruises with her favorite being a recent trip to Alaska. She was an avid bargain shopper. She collected antiques, and porcelain dolls with family member’s names. She was a bird watcher and had many collectibles. She especially loved the gold finch, hummingbird, and red cardinal. She also collected lighthouse memorabilia. She was always shopping for her family, whom were her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family, and loved to do things for them.

In addition to her husband, Audrey is survived by her son, Brian Keith Govoruhk (Kimberlee) of Baltimore, MD; her siblings, Edna Schmidt (Andrew) of Jacksonville, FL, Linda Devenport (Joel) of Edgewood, MD, Samuel Taylor of Parkville, MD and Rosemary Rubin of Severn, MD; her granddaughter, Gabrelle Jones of Park Hall, MD, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Funeral Service will be celebrated by Reverend John Ball at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown, MD.
