SMCSO Announces the Retirement of Corporal James R. Molitor

Molitor RetiresSheriff Tim Cameron and the men and women of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office announce the retirement of Corporal James “Jim” Molitor ID #103. He received a proclamation from the Board of County Commissioners this morning thanking him for his many years of dedicated service to St. Mary’s County.

Corporal Molitor began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in May 1998. Corporal Molitor has always been a faithful employee, friend, and mentor to many of his fellow officers. Although Corporal Molitor will be leaving the Sheriff’s Office, his sons Randy and Kevin continue his legacy of service to St. Mary’s County; Randy as a Correctional Officer First Class and Kevin as a Deputy Sheriff with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Corporal Molitor’s law enforcement family wish him all the best in retired life and we THANK him for his service. We will miss you…

    Thanks for your service to the community, Corporal Jim Molitor. You were always so helpful in the neighborhood when residents were acting like fools. I’ll never forget your remark after my house was egged. Here’s to a well deserved retirement!
