Robert Johnson, Jr.Robert Stanley “Robbie” Johnson, Jr., 52 of Hollywood, MD died on October 29, 2014 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. Born on August 10, 1962 in Leonardtown, MD, he is the son of Robert S. Johnson, Sr. of Hollywood, MD and the late Virginia Burroughs Johnson.

Robbie is a graduate of Leonardtown High School. On May 11, 1991, he married his beloved wife, Carol Susan Johnson. Together they celebrated 23 wonderful years together. He was previously employed by Taylor Gas as a truck driver. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and cheering on the Washington Redskins, and going fishing. He took great pride in his Mustang cars. He also enjoyed his pet birds, “Baby,” an African grey parrot and “Sunny,” a yellow parakeet.

In addition to his father and wife, Robbie is survived by his mother-in-law, Mary Jean Evans; sisters, Lisa Springer (Robbie) of Valley Lee, MD and Nancy Glockner (Ron) of Hollywood, MD; sisters-in-laws, Brenda Hammett (Mike) of St. Mary’s City, MD, Fae Horsley (Shawn, Sr.) of Holly Ridge, NC; his nieces and nephews, Megan Springer, Courtney Springer, Hailey Springer, Lexi Glockner, Christopher Hammett, Rebecca Young, Melanie Holm, Brandon Horsley and Shawn Horsley, Jr.; and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia B. Johnson; and his father-in-law, John Evans.

Family will receive friends for Robbie’s Life Celebration on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with prayers recited at 7 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Raymond Schmidt on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, 43927 St. Johns Road, Hollywood, MD 20636. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Hammett, Robbie Springer, Ron Glockner, Kenny Johnson, Donnie Johnson, and Walter Johnson.
