Trailer Fire on Summer Lane

On 8/24/11 at 20:26 hours Company’s 3, 9, 6 & 7 were alerted to the 47500 block of Summer Lane for the reported working trailer fire. Engine 32, 33, 91, 93 Truck 3, Tower 9 and Squad 3 along with Chief 3 and Chief 3B responded with a total of 33 Volunteers.Engine 32, First arriving on scene dropped a supply line at Buckshot Way and Summer Lane and reported a single wide trailer with Smoke Showing. Engine 32 stretched a 1.75″ attack line in the dwelling to find a bedroom involved, Extinguishing the same.

Next arriving Truck 3 opened the dwelling up for Engine 32’s crew. Engine 91 arrived next pulling the secondary line to the front door. Chief 3B arrived on scene assuming the Summer Lane command. At 20:34 Hrs Chief 3B advised Communications that the fire was under control requesting the assignment be scaled down to 2 engines and 1 truck. The Maryland State Fire Marshal was requested to the scene to conduct investigation. 32 and Truck 3 returned to service at 20:34 Hrs.
