A Wonderful Wine Weekend at Sotterley WineFest

October 4, 2011

Sotterley Plantation’s ninth annual Winefest was held this past weekend on the beautiful historic landscape along the Patuxent River in Hollywood, Md.  The event featured some fantastic live music performances by Uncle Jack, Jazz Caravan, Pax Rats and Gary Rue and the Dane Hall Ghosts. Local Ambassador of Rock John Hunt was broadcasting live on Phoenix Radio.

Sotterley Marketing Director, Eileen Miller reported throughout the two day event. The event which is looked forward to every year by many loyal wine lovers featured such specialties as Maryland Crab Cakes, Fried Oysters, Stuffed Ham, Pit Roasted Meats, fresh-made Ice Cream and more.

Event attendees enjoyed free Plantation House mini tours and free Colonial Revival Garden Tours and, of course, tasty wine offerings from a variety of vintners. Southern Maryland News Net was there to capture all the fun.

Check out the phots to see what a great time was had by all!
