Great Mills Accident Leaves Four Injured

 On Tuesday, Oct.4 around 4:25 p.m., a report of a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment was reported in Great Mills.

Fire and rescue crews from Bay District, Lexington Park, and Leonardtown responded to the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in the area of Great Mills High School to discover an accident involving three vehicles with one person trapped.

Three patients were reported injured in a Honda Accord and a 22-year-old female patient reportedly seven months pregnant having stomach pains in a Honda CRX. Two patients with head injuries were flown by Maryland State Helicopter Trooper 7 to Prince George’s Shock Trauma. Two additional patients were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for their injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
