Car Fire, Hit-and-Run on Rt 235

 Authorities in St. Mary’s County are on the scene of an accident and vehicle fire along Route 235 and Expedition Park near Gate 1 in Lexington Park.

The accident was reported around 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7.

Investigation revealed a Honda Accord struck a silver Toyota Corolla and a Hummer H2. The driver of the Honda left the scene and parked his vehicle behind the SAIC building in Expedition Park and ran into the nearby woods. Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver at this time.
After the collision, the Toyota caught fire along Rt. 235 and is a complete loss.

No word on any injuries at this time.

At least two lanes of southbound Rt. 235 are shut down at this time. Expect major delays in the area.

Police continue to investigate.

    Let me guess …..Crack head , outstanding warrants , lives in Lexington Park , holding CDS and a loaded illegal weapon .
    Did I miss anything ? ? ? ?
    Oh yeah , probably drinking a 40 at the time of the crash .

    But , I am sure that this is a really nice guy , if you just got to know him .
