Come One, Come All, Come Dog! Maryland DogFest Returns for 4th year of Family-Friendly Fun

2015 Maryland DogFestTemperatures are rising, flowers are blooming, and families are eager to enjoy some time outdoors. All of this can mean only one thing; it’s time for the 4th annual Maryland DogFest! From 10 am to 4 pm on April 11 and 12, dog lovers and their families from around the area will gather at the Charles County Fairgrounds to celebrate all things dog. From entertainment to dog adoptions to quality, dog-related exhibitors, this two-day event has something for dog lovers of all ages!

In addition to the wide variety of exhibitors specializing in an assortment of dog-related products and services, attendees can enjoy live performances by Christian Stoinev and his dog, Scooby. The duo gained notoriety this past year by becoming a Top 12 Finalist act on the hit television show, America’s Got Talent! Stoinev is a fifth generation performer who took up hand balancing at the early age of 10. He currently travels all around the world performing his hand-balancing feats alongside his beloved pet Chihuahua, Scooby. This one of a kind show is sure to have every person and dog on the edge of their seats!

For more thrills, visitors are invited to watch the amazing Jersey Devil Dogs soar through the air as they catch flying discs. The High Flying K9 Act is sure to please any crowd with a performance experience unlike any other. The non-stop excitement doesn’t end there. Other events and activities include: an agility course, canine demonstrations, weight pulling, exhibits in training, and paw painting.

Attendees will also enjoy the Main Stage which hosts a variety of interactive, entertaining events including: a dog and owner look-a-like contest, Dogs Got Talent competition, doggy fashion show, training seminars, and a costume contest. Maryland DogFest is also a proud supporter of adoption as the first choice when looking for a new pet. Nearly two dozen rescue, shelter, and adoption groups will be on hand in the Adoption Zone to assist individuals who are looking to add a new member to their family.
