Police Find Deer While Searching for Burglary Suspect

October 31, 2012

On Oct. 16 at 12:28 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Stanford Place in Waldorf after a 13-year-old girl called 911 to report she had arrived home from school and saw a ground level window shattered. Thinking a burglary was taking place, the girl ran to a neighbor’s house. When officers arrived, they observed damage to the window. A police K-9 team entered the residence and began searching room to room. Soon after, the officer and K-9 reached a back room where they found a deer inside, ramming the sliding glass door with its antlers trying to get out. Officers opened the door and the deer took off.

That 13 year old girl is smarter and has more common sense then most adults I see on this website. She must be raised right and have loving, caring parents. Way to go girl!! You have a bright future ahead of you…
