On Saturday, December 8th, the Southern Maryland Mopars gathered at the Prince Frederick Rescue Squad for a mini Meet and Greet from 9am to 11:15am. Their mission was to take all the toys they had gathered to Fitzgerald’s Park Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep in Lexington Park. This year there were older models as well as newer models of cars and trucks participating.
At 11:15am, the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department escorted the Mopar vehicles down Route 4 to the foot of the Governor Johnson Bridge to meet the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, who provided escort to Park Dodge.
Upon arriving at the dealership, all the toys collected For Toys for Tots were unloaded from the vehicles and loaded onto two trucks for the Marines standing by to receive them. Then it was time for all the Mopar vehicles to be judged for Best of Show in 3 classes. Trophies were given to the winners. There was also a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and food. The money collected from the 50/50 raffle will be donated to the Shop with a Cop program.
