The 2016 Leading Women award presented by The Daily Record is awarding St. Mary’s County’s own Jaymi Sterling. The Leading Women’s award is an award given to 50 women who are 40 years of age or younger that have made several accomplishments throughout their careers.
Mrs. Sterling has been a part of the State’s Attorney office in Leonardtown since 2011 and was chosen based off of her many achievements throughout her career thus far. Being a prosecutor since 2008 Mrs. Sterling exemplifies leadership, determination, and hard work. She is very thorough with each case she handles in order to ensure the proper measures are taken. Mrs. Sterling handles an array of cases including serious assaults, vehicular homicides, attempted homicide, burglary, the distribution and possession of dangerous substances, DUI, and more. She is even cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) with the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Having her knowledge, work ethic and leadership she makes a great recipient for the Leading Women award. Representing St. Mary’s County as a strong woman as well as the States Attorney’s office of St. Mary’s.
The Leading Women awards celebration will be held in Westin Annapolis on December the 5th at 5:30.
