St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is Presenting a Safety and Security for Places of Worship Training Seminar

February 12, 2018

Safety and security is becoming increasingly important for places of worship and faith based service providers.

From acts of violence and vandalism, to disruption of services, threats to places of worship have increased.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is presenting an eleven hour training seminar, beginning on February 26, 2018, and concluding the following day, February 27, 2018, to address this threat.

During training participants will learn the importance of developing a safety and security plan, as well as recognizing high risk areas.

This seminar will offer information on active shooter response and address the aftermath of a critical incident.

Representatives of all churches, synagogues, mosques, and other places of worship are encouraged to attend this invaluable training.

Cost of the training is $50.00 per person, plus a $3.75 registration fee.
