St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Make Arrest in Multiple Burglaries

Throughout the month of January 2018, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple reports of residential burglaries and burglaries to motor vehicles, in the Lexington Park area.  Neighborhood canvasses were conducted and images of the suspect were captured with the use of residential security cameras.

The investigations were continued by the Criminal Investigations Division, (CID), and through the course of the investigations, information was developed identifying Jermaine Stanley Greenwell, 26, of Great Mills, as the individual responsible for the crimes.

Greenwell was arrested on February 9, 2018, and was charged with the following criminal violations:

  • Burglary First Degree
  • Attempted Burglary First Degree
  • Rouge and Vagabond
  • Theft $100 to Under $1500
