November 21, 2011

On Saturday, Dec. 3 at the James A, Forrest Tech Center in Leonardtown, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Hospice of St. Mary’s presents its fourth annual Festival of Trees.

The Tech Center is located a 24005 Point Lookout Rd in Leonardtown between Leonardtown High School and Leonardtown Middle School across from the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds.

This magical season is ushered in each year by the Hospice of St. Mary’s County. At this latest iteration of the Festival of Trees, Hospice of St. Mary’s will display several lavishly decorated trees, there will be vendors to help with holiday gift giving ideas and merchandise, lots of festive holiday music and any number of activities for children.

That morning from 9 to 11 a.m. visit this once-a-year-event and enjoy some scrumptious donuts. Then at 1 until 3 p.m. Santa will arrive to the delight of children of all ages. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras for some great photo opportunities with the Jolly Old Elf. All day long the 40 plus vendors will open shoppes loaded with one-of-a-kind and unique holiday items sure to please even the most discerning of people.

Some of the lavish trees on display will be available for auction and the best part of the whole event is that all proceeds from the day go toward support and maintenance of the St. Mary’s Hospice House.
