As part of the College of Southern Maryland’s Spring Connections Series, poet and literary activist E. Ethelbert Miller will read from his collection of works, beginning at 7:30 pm, April 5, at the Leonardtown Campus, Building A, Auditorium. Miller is the author of several collections of poetry, essays and books including two memoirs “The Fifth Inning” and “Fathering Words: The Making of an African American Writer.”
A graduate of Howard University, Miller was one of the first students to major in African American Studies. Today he is the chair for the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), the director of the African American Resources Center at Howard University. Tickets are $3 advanced sale through the CSM box office and $3 at the door with a student ID. General admission at the door is $5.
