Funds approved for Chesapeake Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant
Senator Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., released the following statement today after a Board of Public Works meeting in which the Board approved $7,080,000 of new grant funding to the Town of Chesapeake Beach for the Chesapeake Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant Enhanced Nutrient Removal Upgrade and Expansion project.
“I appreciate the Board of Public Works continued commitment to the people of Calvert County and to the Town of Chesapeake Beach,” said Senator Miller. “The Chesapeake Bay is an environmental and economic treasure and these funds will be critical to help reduce nitrogen and phosphorus discharge into the Bay.
