   I’ve just discovered your site and am enjoying keeping up with the Southern Maryland News. We retired and moved to PA but were long-time residents of Charles County.
   Several articles pertain to children injured in school bus accidents which begs the following question: Why is it that children must be in seat belts or car seats in POVs but NOT on school buses? I’ve been asking this question for years and all I get are unacceptable answers! It CAN’T be that difficult or expensive to install some kind of restraint to keep the children in their seats in case of an accident. Perhaps a release for the bus driver to release the seat belts if the children needed to be evacuated. Someone needs to push this issue before children are killed or badly maimed!

   somdnewsnet.com.. is the best, most well written on line site Southern Maryland has to offer!!!! The stories, pictures and site are the best around… Keep up the AWESOME work!!
