Elizabeth (Liz) Anne Marcus, 67, of Waldorf, MD lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, January 28, 2018 while at the Charles County Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 13, 1950 in Johnstown, PA to the late Robert and Doris Stangoe Emeigh.
She was a devoted housewife and mother to four children and 13 foster children. She was a substitute teacher at SMCA and did property inspections. She enjoyed leading her book club, attending Saturday Masses with the Marian Group, participating in her ladies’ gym workouts three days a week, and her passion for saving the lives of the unborn babies volunteering for years for the Catherine Foundation.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Sidney; three sons: Randy (Christine), Ryan (Tene), and Russell (Rosezanne); daughter Rachel Jenkins; 24 grandchildren; one sister: Dorice Moore; one brother: Robert Emeigh; and numerous family members and friends.
The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on February 4th at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD, with prayers at 7 p.m. Viewing will be held on Monday, February 5 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, MD 20602 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
