On Monday, June 1, 2020, at approximately 10:48 p.m., firefighters from Bay District responded to the 45800 block of Chancellors Run Court in Great Mills, for the reported dumpster on fire.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find fire showing from the neighborhood dumpster.
On Tuesday, June 2, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and are investigating the fire, after the incident was reportedly caught on video showing a suspect intentionally lighting the dumpster and contents on fire.
No injuries were reported, and the damage was contained to the dumpster.
The incident is under investigation.
