On Thursday, October 29, 2020, at approximately 8:05 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to Great Mills Road and South Shangri-La Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
Dispatchers then upgraded the assignment to a motor vehicle accident reported serious with one subject trapped.
Crews arrived on the scene to find three vehicles in the roadway with no entrapment.
Firefighters requested an additional medic unit due to one victim with numbness and loss of feeling below her waist. Emergency medical personnel requested a helicopter, however, all were down due to weather.
Two victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One adult female was transported to an area trauma center with serious injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Troopers from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack are investigating the collision.
