Carol Jane Augustin, 60, a long-time resident of Chesapeake Beach passed away Tuesday October 20, 2020 at Calvert Health Medical Center in Prince Frederick. Carol was born July 30, 1960 in Gary, IN to Arthur Allan & Dorothy Carolynn (Kish) Augustin, and was raised in Bowie, where she graduated from Bowie High School.
Since graduation, she worked every day, but still made time to be a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend; she finished her career at Quantum Spatial. Carol enjoyed going to the beach and spending time outdoors. She loved nature and wildlife of all kinds, especially her beloved cats. She was very dedicated to her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and was the central figure who brought everyone together. Carol is survived by her daughter, Jenna Cisse of Prince Frederick, her son Michael Bowman of Chesapeake Beach, her granddaughters Coura and Safia Cisse, her parents Arthur Augustin of Edgewater, and Dorothy Augustin of Prince Frederick, her sister Karen Augustin of Annapolis, and her brother Richard Augustin & his wife Annette of Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Augustin. Family will hold a memorial gathering on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 10 to 11am, at Rausch Funeral Home, 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, MD; followed by a memorial service from 11am to 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name towards the charity Friends of Felines of Calvert County.
