Anne Marie Mako, 88, of Prince Frederick passed away November 16, 2020 at Caribbean Breeze Assisted Living in Owings. She was born January 18, 1932 in Washington, D.C. to Francis A. and Nelda Marie (Schnopp) Bryant. Anne was raised in the District and attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and graduated from St. Cecilia High School. She was employed as a dental assistant in Washington. She married Thomas Edwin Mako on May 2, 1953 and they lived in Washington, later moving to the P.G. County suburbs and then settled in Dunkirk in 1972 where Anne was primarily a homemaker. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in North Beach where she was active in the Ladies of Sodality and Ladies of Charity. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and siblings, and also loved vacationing in the mountains where she enjoyed the beautiful views.
Anne Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas and brothers John and Joseph Bryant. She is survived by daughters Kathleen M. Curtis and husband Michael, Maureen A. Jones and husband Robert and sons Thomas E.B. Mako and wife Dorothy, and Timothy F. Mako and wife Susan. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Eileen Walton and Bernadette Pierce, a brother Reverend Francis Michael Bryant., sisters-in-law Judy Bryant and Ginny Bryant Little (Oddis), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
