On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at approximately 6:55 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Chicamuxen Road and Sweetmans Road in Marbury, for the reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
Crews arrived on the scene to find two vehicles involved in a t-bone style collision with one subject trapped. Firefighters requested an additional rescue squad and ambulance to the scene.
Firefighters extricated one victim in under 15 minutes.
Emergency medical personnel requested a helicopter for the 48-year-old male operator of the vehicle, due to the victim losing consciousness and the vehicle having approximately 18 inches of intrusion from the collision.
Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 landed nearby and transported the victim to an area trauma center.
One victim was transported to an area hospital.
