On Monday, November 6, 2023, at approximately 3:20 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the Grace Baptist Church located at 7345 Indian Head Highway in Bryans Road, for the reported vehicle into the building with entrapment.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle struck the side of the structure with the operator trapped. The building was occupied by one person who was unharmed.
Firefighters removed the driver from the vehicle in under 15 minutes, Maryland State Police Aviation was requested for the patient.
Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7 landed nearby and transported one patient to an area trauma center.
Fire and rescue personnel from Charles County, Prince George’s County and Naval District Washington responded and assisted. The scene was turned over to a county building inspector and building management.
