UPDATE 12/29/2025: Niamora Delise Lopez, 20, of Lexington Park, has been charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault following a reported stabbing incident early Monday morning, December 29, 2025, according to court documents.
At approximately 1:03 a.m., officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the 45000 block of Indian Way in Lexington Park for a reported stabbing. Responders located a male victim with a leg injury at the scene. The female suspect, identified as Lopez, remained present when authorities arrived.
The male victim was treated on scene by emergency medical technicians but later declined transport for further medical attention. Law enforcement officers took Lopez into custody and recovered a knife believed to be used in the incident. The Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack, is continuing the investigation.
Lopez has been charged in the District Court for St. Mary’s County with one count of first-degree assault, a felony, and one count of second-degree assault, a misdemeanor. The case remains open as of the latest court filings.

Lopez is also facing charges in two separate, ongoing criminal cases.
On December 17, 2025, she was formally charged with second-degree assault in connection to a December 15, 2025, incident involving her father. According to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Lopez allegedly pepper-sprayed her father during an argument outside a residence on Brighton Avenue in Lexington Park. A hot-pink canister of pepper spray was recovered at the scene, and the adult male victim sustained an eye irritation. Court documents state that Lopez admitted to using the spray. A preliminary inquiry in this case is scheduled for January 30, 2026.
In an earlier case from January 4, 2025, Lopez was charged with four offenses following a domestic disturbance on Indian Way. Responding officers with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office reported that Lopez damaged several household items inside Apartment 423, including cosmetic supplies and furniture valued at a total of $185. During the incident, Lopez allegedly resisted arrest, pushed and kicked the officer, and struck him in the chest with her arm before being subdued.
Charges in that case include second-degree assault, resisting arrest, obstructing a law enforcement officer, and malicious destruction of property valued under $1,000.
All three cases are currently pending in the District Court for St. Mary’s County.

The female suspect was placed into custody. Police recovered the knife from the scene.
Police are investigating the assault.
