5 Firefighters Transported After House Fire Leaves Man Critically Injured and One Dog Dead

On Monday, March 23, 2026, at approximately 7:48 a.m., firefighters responded to the 7400 block of Allison Street in Landover Hills, for a house fire with reports of occupants trapped.

Crews arrived on scene to find fire showing through the roof of a single-story single family home with a basement.

Firefighters made entry and located one adult male occupant and removed them from within basement. EMS transported the man in critical condition, and is currently in stable condition.

Additionally, 5 PGFD firefighters were transported to hospitals for evaluation.

One dog was located deceased and another was provided oxygen by EMS crews before being released to family members.

Fire Investigators are on scene working to determine an origin and cause of the fire. The Prince George’s County Office of Emergency Management was on scene to assist a yet to be determined number of displaced occupants.
