Robert Lee Andujar, 46, and Joshua Dillard Andujar, 23, both of Lusby
Robert Lee Andujar, 46, of Lusby, is charged with theft under $100 and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Joshua Dillard Andujar, 23, also of Lusby, is charged with theft from $100 to under $1,500 following a March 20, 2026 incident at Walmart on North Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick, according to court documents filed in the District Court for Calvert County.
According to court documents, a deputy with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart on March 21, 2026 at approximately 9:06 p.m. for a reported theft. A loss prevention manager told deputies he recognized Joshua Andujar from a prior theft and stated he had also seen him earlier in the week. The employee told deputies that Joshua Andujar was wearing a red and black jacket with black pants and was accompanied by his father, who was wearing a blue sweater and blue jeans. The employee also stated he observed the two get into a vehicle prior to deputies making contact.
Court documents state that when deputies made contact with Robert Andujar, he told them he did not know where his son was and said he had “possibly went to the bathroom.” Deputies then searched inside the store and located an opened box and wrapper on the floor of a men’s bathroom near the sporting goods section.
According to court records, Joshua Andujar was located inside the store, advised of his rights, and detained without incident. When asked what he had on him, Joshua Andujar told deputies, “I’m not going to lie to you,” and stated he had packs of cards in his front left pocket and back right pocket. Deputies recovered multiple unopened packs of NFL trading cards from his person.
Court documents state Joshua Andujar admitted he placed the card boxes in his jacket, went into the bathroom, opened them, and placed the cards into his pockets. He also told deputies he intended to leave the store without paying and stated he had lost his job and planned to sell the cards for money.
According to the loss prevention manager, he observed Joshua Andujar place a box of cards into his jacket, which prompted the 911 call. The total value of the merchandise attributed to Joshua Andujar was listed as $126.93, according to court documents.
Court records show Robert Andujar gave deputies permission to search his vehicle. Inside, deputies reported finding both opened and unopened packs of NFL cards, along with a rolled dollar bill containing a white powdery substance. According to court documents, Robert Andujar told deputies the substance was “Schedule 1, Heroin and Schedule 2, Fentanyl.” Deputies also recovered an unopened pack of cards from his front left pocket. The total value of merchandise attributed to Robert Andujar was listed as $18.95.
Both men were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and later released on their own recognizance, meaning no monetary bond was required.
Joshua Andujar is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Calvert District Court, and Robert Andujar is scheduled on May 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the same court.
