On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 4:28 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to a residence on St. Peters Church Road in Waldorf, for the reported infant not breathing.
911 callers advised a 18-month old was not conscious and not breathing, with dispatchers providing CPR instructions.
Police arrived on the scene within minutes and began performing CPR.
Sadly, the victim was pronounced deceased on the scene after all life-saving measures were attempted.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is performing a death investigation. However, at this time it does not appear to be foul play.
