Motorcyclist Flown to Trauma Center After High Speed Crash in Hollywood

On Monday, March 30, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the area of Three Notch Road and Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, for the reported motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

Crews arrived on the scene to find a single motorcyclist laying in the median of Three Notch Road, with the motorcycle approximately 600 feet away resting in the median.

Witnesses reported the motorcyclist was travelling at a high speed when he crashed by himself.

EMS evaluated for transport to a trauma center, with Capital Region accepting the patient.

Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 landed at the St. Mary’s County Airport, and transported the patient to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center with injuries.

Flight paramedics were advised the patient was travelling at approximately 80 mph, and was conscious and alert.

Police are investigating the collision.
