On Monday, March 30, 2026, at approximately 6:40 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the area of 17171 Point Lookout Road in Lexington Park, for the reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a single Toyota Tacoma pickup truck off the roadway and resting in the march of the Fisherman Creek after striking the St. Mary’s College Bridge pedestrian walkway.
Firefighters found the adult operator was still inside the vehicle but was not trapped.
First Responders assisted the operator of of the marshland where EMS consulted for aviation transport.
Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7 landed nearby and transported the victim to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center
Police are investigating the single vehicle collision.
