Dunkirk Warriors Youth Athletics Club released the following statement – The Dunkirk Warriors family is saddened to learn of the passing of Amanda Rae Regan, a former Warriors lacrosse coach and current coach with the Rockettes.
She gave so much of her time and heart to the game and to the athletes she coached, and she will leave a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, players, and all who knew and loved her.

UPDATE 4/16/2026: On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack responded to Eastbound Route 260 in the area of the East Mt. Harmony Road overpass in Owings, for the reported single-vehicle crash.
The driver and sole occupant of a Jeep Wrangler was identified as Amanda Regan, age 37 of Chesapeake Beach, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation, the Jeep, for unknown reasons, failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, subsequently entering into the eastbound lanes and striking the guardrail before coming to a rest against a tree in an area off the roadway.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at approximately 9:07 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the area of 1235 East Mt Harmony Road in Owings, for the serious motor vehicle collision with one unconscious and overturned.
911 callers reported a single vehicle was off the roadway and into the woods with the operator unconscious and possibly not breathing.
A helicopter was requested to pre-launch and land nearby due to the callers information.
Crews arrived on the scene to confirm a single vehicle off the roadway and into the woods, with the vehicle resting on its side with an unknown aged female trapped inside and not conscious.
One firefighters stabilized the vehicle and began extrication, EMS was able to access the victim and pronounced them deceased on the scene.
Troopers from the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack responded and are investigating the collision.
Firefighters operated on the scene for multiple hours to assist police with lighting and removing the victim from the vehicle.
