On Monday, May 11, 2026, at approximately 9:35 a.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the area of Indian Head Highway and Matthews Road in Bryans Road, for the reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
While First Responders were enroute to the scene, additional 911 callers reported a vehicle was on fire.
Crews arrived on the scene to confirm a two vehicle collision with one vehicle on fire, and 2 patients for evaluation.
Due to weather, helicopters were unavailable.
EMS transported a 26-year-old male to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center with a suspected femur fracture.
The second patient, a 57-year-old female, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
