indecent exposureXavier Alexander Jones, 24, of Sunderland, has been charged with one misdemeanor count of indecent exposure after court documents say he allegedly exposed himself to an adult female victim inside a Prince Frederick TJ Maxx. The case was filed May 8, 2026, in District Court for Calvert County and remains open.

According to the statement of charges, the alleged incident happened on February 18, 2026, at the TJ Maxx on Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick. The charging document states that Jones “did indecently expose their person” to the adult female victim. The court filing lists the charge as indecent exposure under Maryland criminal law, with a possible penalty shown as up to three years and/or a $1,000 fine.

The application for charges was filed by DFC C. Hill of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. In the filing, Hill wrote, “On 2/18/2026, I made contact with victim [adult female victim], who reported an indecent exposure to me.” Hill wrote that the victim “said she was at the TJ Maxx located at [Dares Beach Road], Prince Frederick, MD 20678, at approximately 1000 hours when she was approached by a male suspect in the back of the store.”

Hill wrote that the adult female victim “said the male pulled his genitalia out of his pants and showed it to her.” According to the application, the victim “immediately left the store and reported the incident.”

The filing states that Hill then spoke with a TJ Maxx loss prevention officer. Hill wrote, “I made contact with a TJ Maxx loss prevention officer, who provided video footage of the incident.” After reviewing the footage, Hill wrote, “I reviewed the video footage and observed a black male in the store with his genitalia out and showing it to the victim.”

According to the application, the suspect in the video was wearing a Panera Bread uniform. Hill wrote, “The male was wearing a Panera Bread uniform, so I went to the Panera Bread located at [Costley Way], Prince Frederick, MD 20678, and spoke with one of the managers.”

The manager identified the person as Jones, according to the filing. Hill wrote, “The manager was able to identify the male as an employee named Xavier Jones.” The manager then showed Hill Jones’ employee file, which contained an Illinois driver’s license. Hill wrote, “I was able to identify the male in the camera footage as Jones with the picture on the IL driver’s license.”

Hill also wrote that attempts to reach Jones were not successful. The application states, “I attempted to make contact with Jones multiple times, but I was unsuccessful every time.” Hill concluded the filing by writing, “I respectfully request that Jones be charged with indecent exposure.” The application also states, “All events occurred in Calvert County, MD.”

A criminal summons was issued on May 8, 2026. The summons orders Jones to appear for a preliminary inquiry on June 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in Courtroom 2 at Calvert District Court. The summons also states that if Jones fails to appear at the required date, time, and place, “a warrant for your arrest may be issued.”
