Christopher William Walls, 36, of Lusby, is facing felony and misdemeanor drug charges, along with several traffic-related allegations, after the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office reported finding suspected psilocybin, suspected cocaine, drug-related items and cash during an arrest in Solomons on May 26, 2026, according to District Court records.

Walls is charged in District Court for Calvert County with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance other than cannabis, possession with intent to distribute PCP/LSD/hallucinogens, distribution of narcotics, and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records also list related traffic citations for reckless driving, negligent driving, driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, driving while impaired by a controlled dangerous substance, and directing or permitting a highway vehicle to operate contrary to law.

According to the statement of probable cause, a deputy responded at about 6:10 a.m. on May 26, 2026, to Solomons Car Wash on H.G. Trueman Road in Solomons for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The deputy reported finding a silver Toyota 4Runner parked behind the car wash with Walls in the driver’s seat and the vehicle running. The document states there was blood on the ground near the vehicle and multiple discarded bloody napkins nearby.

The deputy wrote that Walls was the only person in the vehicle and complied when asked to get out and move to the rear of the Toyota.

According to court documents, Walls said he had been at Bucket’s Sports Bar on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby around 10 p.m. the night before and had consumed “a few Coronas.” The deputy wrote that Walls did not know when he arrived at the car wash or when he passed out.

The probable cause statement says the deputy observed slurred speech, red and bloodshot eyes, disheveled clothing and a moderate odor of alcohol coming from Walls’ breath. The deputy reported conducting field sobriety tests and wrote that Walls said he had no medical conditions affecting his coordination, balance or vision and did not wear contacts or glasses.

After the testing, the deputy wrote that Walls was impaired and unable to safely operate a motor vehicle. Walls was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. According to the charging documents, after an implied-consent advisement was played, Walls refused to take an intoximeter test.

The deputy wrote that when the patrol vehicle was opened, Walls “spontaneously uttered” that a plastic bag inside his vehicle contained mushrooms, identified in the charging document as suspected psilocybin. A search of the vehicle reportedly turned up multiple large plastic bags containing suspected psilocybin, totaling about 470 grams, along with suspected cocaine totaling about 4.58 grams.

Court documents list additional items seized as evidence, including a Samsung cellphone, keys, $632 in U.S. currency, a one-dollar bill with white powdery residue, a cut plastic straw with white powdery residue, black electric scales with white powdery residue, plastic cups, 1,726 black sealable bags labeled “trippy wizard” with an image of a wizard, cigarette cartons and a yellow package of CBD gummies that was seized for destruction.

Walls was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak. The deputy wrote that, when asked about the white powdery substance, Walls said it was “cocaine.” The document also states Walls said he had been working at Trippy Wizard in Washington, D.C., for several days and “forgot to drop the mushrooms back off” after finishing work for the day. When asked when he last used controlled dangerous substances, Walls reportedly said he had used about “a gram” the previous night before drinking alcoholic beverages at Bucket’s Sports Bar.

The initial appearance report states Walls was ordered held without bond on May 26, 2026. The report says release on personal recognizance would not reasonably ensure his appearance because of the nature and circumstances of the charges, the nature of the evidence and the potential sentence if convicted.

A bail review was held on May 27, 2026, before Judge Michelle R. Saunders, and court records show Walls remained held without bond.
