Anthony Lee Dross Jr., 27, of Patuxent River, has been charged in Calvert County District Court with disorderly conduct and intoxicated public disturbance after an incident on May 29, 2026, near The Tiki Bar on Charles Street in Solomons, according to court documents.
According to the statement of charges, DFC A. Ostazeski of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to Charles Street in Solomons for a report involving an “assist sick.” The caller reported that a male had fallen into the water at that location and cut his face, and bystanders were able to remove him from the water.
Court documents state that Dross had difficulty standing on his own, was swaying, and had red, glassy, bloodshot eyes. The officer also reported smelling a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Dross said he had been at The Tiki Bar on Charles Street in Solomons with his girlfriend, but he was unable to tell officers where she was or how he fell into the water.
Bystanders told the officer that Dross had been seen earlier with an adult female and that the two had been yelling at each other, according to the charging documents. The officer later located the adult female in a vehicle, and after some time, she was able to call for a ride.
While the officer was speaking with the adult female, Dross allegedly became belligerent with EMS personnel and other officers. Court documents quote Dross as saying, “I’m not afraid to get arrested. I’ve been to jail before.”
The officer wrote that EMS was trying to get Dross’ name to complete an assessment, but he refused to provide it. EMS and officers told him that providing his name was the final part of the EMS assessment and that they would leave after it was completed. According to the statement of probable cause, Dross continued to refuse to provide information, and a crowd began to form, blocking people from getting in or out of the parking area.
Dross was arrested for disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center without incident, according to court documents.
At an initial appearance on May 30, 2026, Dross waived an attorney for that hearing and was released on personal recognizance with no bail amount. Conditions of release include appearing in court, not engaging in criminal conduct, and abstaining from alcohol or the abusive use or possession of controlled dangerous substances without a prescription.
