Jeronda Artina Williams, 42, of Waldorf
Jeronda Artina Williams, 42, of Waldorf, has been charged with robbery, theft of $100 to under $1,500, second-degree assault, affray and disorderly conduct after an alleged fight and phone theft at a Waldorf gas station business on May 28, 2026.
According to the allegations, an officer with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 7:12 a.m. for a report of a disorderly person at Myers Shell and Auto Service on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf, which is connected to a Shell gas station and convenience store. While headed to the location, the officer reported seeing two women fighting in the parking lot of Southern Maryland Gun and Pawn, also on Leonardtown Road.
The officer wrote that the fight was taking place in an open parking lot near Leonardtown Road, which was described as a busy highway, and that the altercation was visible to passing traffic. Emergency equipment was activated so the officer could move through traffic and separate those involved.
Investigators said Williams was placed in handcuffs near a marked patrol vehicle. The officer reported that Williams said she had been trying to get gas for her vehicle when the adult female victim, a cashier at the Shell business, refused her service. The officer wrote that the dispute began after Williams allegedly parked in the wrong section of the gas pump area and was told service could not be provided unless she moved her vehicle.
The adult female victim told the officer Williams became belligerent and began threatening her after being told to move the vehicle. Williams then allegedly went behind the cash register and began shoving the victim, leading to a physical fight inside the store. A male witness who worked at the business reportedly tried to separate the two women.
During the fight, the adult female victim dropped her phone, described as a black iPhone 11 with a floral case and an estimated value of about $490. The officer alleged Williams picked up the phone, put it in her purse, left the business and began walking down Leonardtown Road toward the pawn shop area.
Williams was arrested and taken to the Charles County Detention Center for processing. According to the officer, a search of Williams’ purse found the adult female victim’s iPhone, and Williams’ identity was confirmed through her Maryland driver’s license.
At an initial appearance on May 28, 2026, Williams was initially ordered held on a $5,000 bond and directed not to contact or harass the adult female victim, not to go near Myers Shell and Auto Service on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf, and not to own or possess weapons. A bail review was held on May 29, 2026, and Williams was released on recognizance. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 26, 2026, in Charles County District Court.
